Today is the 4th of July, which means something if you're in the states. Well, this is the first 4th July I've had a chance to witness since I came here, so I decided to go and see the fireworks. OMG! I didn't know it was such a big deal really. I'd heard that Brooklyn Promenade was a perfect place to watch the fireworks, so I took my camera and came here. Let alone the promenade, the streets going in that direction were packed with people!! And the cops blocked the promenade's gate because it was too crowded! Damn! I saw a few dull fireworks from afar, and just gave in and returned to Starbucks, which is on the same block. Instead of seeing such a big event, I'm updating my blog in a Starbucks! Such an interesting thing to do for someone, who's going to leave the country in a few days! :-/
What I've realized today is that, Americans really know how to have some fun. When I think about the Republic Day in my country, OMG, it's the most boring, dullest thing in the world. However, today everywhere in the city was full of free concerts. And I'm talking about some cool stuff! like Belle&Sebastian and all :) All the parks had some events going on and I think this is , no matter how much I detest the promotion of American flag, really nice.
Anyway, I have left 6 days and I have like 12 things to do, zillion things to see and dozens of places to go in NYC :(
OK, "Happy 4th" all! [this is the phrase I've heard million times today, I wanna puke! =P ]

Belle & Sebastian played the Brooklyn promenade? Lol, where?
Summer in NYC is completely crazy- I guess since it's the best city in the world, when the weather gets really nice people really take advantage of all it has to offer outdoors.
I can't wait for the Siren Festival and Shakespeare in the Park is doing Macbeth with Liev Schreiber (I saw him on Charlie Rose yesterday)..oh the list goes on.. *Yay*
no, Belle&Sebastian was on Battery Park :)
and yes, I was dying to see Macbeth in Central Park but I have no time left. I'm leaving :( well, if you go, tell us all about it :)
ooooh cool.
Well I did go to the Siren, I should have the update soon, look for it :>
Don't leave NYC- it will miss you! I'll miss you too (although we never met) lol.
