I should be finishing up reading The End of The Affair by Graham Greene for my presentation on Monday. What am I doing instead? I'm reading some Nick Hornby at about 2 o'clock in the morning with my hysterical laughs echoing in the room. I'm at where these hilarious people have decided to meet regularly and talk about books. Jess's thoughts about Virginia Woolf, that paragraph, literally cracked me up. You definitely should read this book if you think you need to have some fun. well, "some fun" has really been an unfair phrase, the book is not just fun, it has some intelligence and genuine sadness too.

Freud explains depression along the same lines- the mind is busy focusing most of its energy on repressing bad things/memories etc., so it leaves you less energy to experience other things. :>
